Greg Small gained his experience as a member of the Xerox Malcolm Baldrige Award team and
the strategy team for Self-Directed Work Teams. He has spent over 20 years consulting in
the areas of quality and organizational development. He taught a course on 'Self-Directed
Work Teams' at the University of The Pacific in California.
His international experience comes from working in the former Soviet Union,
Norway, Taiwan, and
Canada.

OLSEN: New
Milford, N.J.(Full Biography) Maryanne worked with Greg Small when he first introduced the Human Element workshop to
Xerox management back in 1992. She has used the principles learned through the Human
Element in corporate consulting, in her practice as a family therapist, and in her work as
Director of Cross-Cultural Consultants. Greg Small and she brought the workshop to Russia
in 1995, to help Russian professionals develop work teams in newly independent business
arenas.

have been Vice Presidents, District Managers, and their direct reports. His focus has been

she served the dual role of first-line manager and internal consultant; in this role she

work teams. Her most recent assignment was as Organizational Development Manager at IKON

BANNER: Viroqua, WI (Full Biography) David Banner has had a rich and varied career in both the public and
private sectors. He has been an entrepreneur, a VP-Marketing for a small
manufacturer in Chicago, a management consultant for Peat-Marwick, an Army
officer in Vietnam, an author, an aerospace engineer for NASA and a
university professor (last position: The Napoleon Hill Professor of
Leadership, Eberhardt School of Business, University of the Pacific,
Stockton, CA). He has consulted and trained in some of the largest
corporations in the world, and he has helped numerous start-ups with
business plans, marketing strategy, and entrepreneurial thinking. David
was a university
professor of organization and management for some 24 years before moving
